1. Decleration of the Anarchist Bund Leipzig
What we are:
We are Anti-Authoritarians and Anti-Imperialists from Leipzig and beyond, forming a group to fight for our self-liberation. We stand for Anarchy and for the self organization of the working class to determine their own way forward.
We stand for the liberation of all oppressed groups and individuals. That is why we also take a vocal stance against state mandated zionism and support the palestinian self-liberation and self-determination. We denounce the idea, that the liberation or safety of one group denies the freedom of others, only a diverse and all-encompassing struggle can achieve liberation for all.
A revolution cannot have leaders or spokespeople, it can only form from the collective will of the people in arms. We stand side by side equally with all the oppressed in their struggle for dignity and self determination.
What we want:
We want to achieve self-liberation in our social circles, in our neighbourhoods, our workplaces and bring this self-organized struggle into the general public. With this we want to take a part in building a mass movement against capitalism and the state: a proletarian movement of self-liberation.
These are big aims and may seem utopian, but in light of the destruction and annihilation of liberty and our means to survive by the warmongering capitalist class, we see no other way but to abolish a system that is not only failing us humans, but is actively destroying most life on this planet. We want to uphold the struggle for nature as an anti-capitalist one, because fighting capitalism is the only way for nature to survive, which we depend on for own survival.
But to achieve great change, we have to start somewhere. As we are part of the anarchist and anti-authoritarian subculture in Europe, we see this scene as our starting point to advance our ideas and mode of organizing. We see the need for an organization in Leipzg that can stand up for Anarchy in an internationalist way and also centers the working class. Unlike most of the so-called „anti-authoritarian“ scene, that centers liberal anti-fascism, elitist moralism and racist pro-zionist positions, we believe there is no real anti-state movement in Leipzig and we want to be a part in establishing one.
In this context we see us currently capable of organizing the following:
- Working class solidarity and self organization, by helping our friends and comrades with workplace struggles, information sharing about workplaces and spreading knowledge about workers rights and means to resist exploitation – in this we are willing to work with any self-organized workers organization;
- Going out to the people of our neighbourhoods and involve ourselves in the daily struggles of our communities by offering mutual help to our neighbours, showing presence and strengthening social connection by engaging openly on the streets of our neighbourhoods;
- Organizing Bars, free-entrance Soli-Parties/Raves and Küfas (Quality food for free or for a small donation), to offer non-commercial events to hang out, have fun and participate in society without spending half of your paycheck, but also to gather donations for struggles, projects or individuals in need of money. We want to achieve this with voluntary work and self organized events, in which the community works together for a common goal;
- Organizing demonstrations, open lectures & debates and strengthening the anarchist struggle in Leipzig by actively participating in the anarchist scene. We are aiming to change the political landscape of Leipzig towards a more proletarian and inclusive way of organizing and approaching the public;
- We want to start an anarchist solidarity movement against colonialism and join demonstrations/events for palestinian liberation. We feel Anarchism is often associated with „Anti-Deutsche“, especially in Leipzig. We want to change that.
We are against:
We denounce the university centered and dogmatic elitism of many german anarchists. In contrast, we see ourselves in the tradition of the working class roots of the anarchist movements and refuse to participate in the upper class activism of many self described „anarchists“, that are not fighting for self-liberation, but only want to display their moral highground.
We reject this moralistic posturing that leads towards the fethishization of women, jews, queers, migrants, workers etc. – it degrades our comrades into mere „projects“ that need to be saved by some heroic rich kids. In the end this leads our movement into a blame game, about who has it the worst or is the most privileged, and builds up a self-imposed victim mentality. Instead of this arrogance, we want to center common goals and uniting moments, to strengthen the self-organization of the oppressed, not fighting about which group is more oppressed.
We fight against Transphobia, Racism, Antisemitism, Ableism and anti-working class sentiments and any other form of bullshit. This fight is centered in our common goal to overcome all forms of oppression, not in stepping back and bowing down to an engineered „proletarian“ movement of party officials and fringe cult leaders. We do not need any leaders or a common party line we have to follow, liberation can only be the work of the oppressed on their own accords.
Dont follow, go your own way and always question everything!
